How to make a payment
If you need to (as in customised orders or if you are unsure about shipping costs) you can consult with us first and we can confirm your order and step you through payment options. Click here.
Otherwise, you will find Item Numbers and prices including shipping on most items and you can proceed with payment by Credit Card or other means as explained here. Larger items such as dolls will usually require us to confirm postage with you before you pay. Note more than one item thus... DF005, D57, MMP2, 006 etc.

If you are uncomfortable with buying via Credit Card over the Internet we suggest that you email us with your order and then send us your payment via snail mail using one of our Alternative Methods of Payment (see 1 below).
Please note - we do not accept any payments via email.
Because of the fees, Alternative Methods of Payment are offered in Australian Dollars only. Credit Card Payments (see 2 below) may be in either Australian or United States Dollars.

We use Paymate (the Australian equivalent of Paypal) to process our Credit Card payments. Paymate is a fully secure online ordering facility and your details will be fully encrypted and protected by an industry standard SSL Certificate. How do you tell if a site is secure? Look up the top when you click on the logo below and you will see the URL changes from http to https.
You may need java, pop-ups and cookies temporarily enabled if you are having trouble.
No need to remember an email address - it is embedded in the pop-up.
No need to register (no need to tick the box).
You do have to agree to Paymate's terms and conditions though and that means you agree to pay the correct fee in the nominated currency; all fees and conversions will be calculated by Paymate for you if necessary (you will be kept fully apprised every step and you do not have to proceed if you are not happy). Your Card Statement will reflect a payment to Paymate and not to Mountain Mist Productions.
You must also give your proper address (No P O Box numbers)
On the Paymate form you will be asked to fill in the Item numbers of the products you wish to order. List multiple items separated by a comma.
You will immediately receive a receipt for payment from Paymate. You will receive an Order Confirmation from us via email soon thereafter - we are not super-glued to the computer 24/7 but we do check daily, and we will establish a dialogue with you within a few hours of your Order, if not sooner.

Australian Writer, Publisher and Principal of Mountain Mist Productions (www.1stmist.com), Lynette Patricia King (L P King), is the Owner and Manager of this Website. Please use the Dollquaketalk Form to correspond. L P King is a Crafter and Dollmaker of long-standing and the art is still a hobby for her and this site represents her own personal expression as opposed to her professional commitments in the world of writing and publishing. She is especially noted for her character decorator dolls and has designed a range of Santas, each of whom has unique characteristics and features. Preferring the cloth medium, L P King also seeks to encourage others to take up the craft, having been self-taught and having come up "through the ranks" as it were, she firmly believes anybody can enjoy the craft of Dollmaking. To create something unique that a Collector will treasure is the ultimate goal of those who seek to be a little different and L P King hopes that Dollquake will find such a niche.
"A few years ago I had my own craft business for about four years and I was quite pleased with how it was going up to the point where another two ladies come on board and we started seriously marketing. It was a lot of fun - we never made a taxable income, but we did have a few giggles, and we all learnt a lot about the business and about ourselves. I got sick and that put paid to everything. That's when I started seriously writing and planning Mountain Mist Productions which began in early 2000 and now I can finally have the luxury of going back and having this hobby. At no time will this Site, Mountain Mist Productions or L P King collect any information on anyone nor will any information of any kind be imparted to, shared with or sold to any individual or organisation. Given her position in her publishing company, L P King is extremely concerned about privacy and the privacy of her colleagues, and that is why the address for Dollquake is listed as a P O Box and all correspondence will show this return address. Unfortunate incidences do occur and when you get to be of a higher profile your privacy is not always guaranteed.
You are most welcome to correspond at any time via the Dollquake Feedback Form. The form is checked several times per day and all messages will receive a response in a timely manner.

Dollquake is an off-shoot of the main publishing site at www.1stmist.com and L P King's published patterns, dolls and books are offered for sale at www.dollquake.com electronically via Paymate or by traditional methods with payment by Direct Deposit, money order, bank cheque or personal cheque sent via snail mail. Paymate - www.paymate.com.au was chosen to take care of all credit card transactions in a fully secure manner and they utilise the highest encryption standards so your details are always safe.
When you click on the Paymate logo the details for Mountain Mist Productions will come up and the email address is already embedded in the little pop-up window. There is no need to register to make a payment. Paymate provides information for you regarding fees, conversions etc. You may pay in either Australian dollars or United States Dollars and goods will only be shipped when Paymate notifies that the funds are cleared. Your bank statement will reflect a payment made to Paymate.

Postage does not apply to goods that are delivered electronically.
In most cases you are asked to initially use the Feedback Form to request further information or to express interest in a particular product. When you order you will be informed of the postage and you will have to agree to pay the postage. Once we receive your initial email you will receive full instructions regarding shipping, postage and payment methods when you express interest in a product. If your order is straightforward and postage is clear please feel free to proceed with your payment and we will send you a confirmation as soon as we are notified by Paymate or upon receipt of your alternative payment.
We will email you once your item has been shipped. Please allow a few extra days for delivery depending on your location. Please also note that present security concerns overseas may delay delivery. Smaller items should only take a few days to reach you once shipped and overseas is generally 5 - 8 days depending on location.
All goods shipped from Australia will be delivered through Australia Post via regular post or Air Mail for overseas. Goods from the United States will be sent via the US postal service and overseas orders will be shipped Air Mail. Please let us know if there are any special instructions regarding delivery options. Goods will be sent by regular post unless special arrangements are made for air mail or registered post.
Print books are packed and posted by Digitalprintaustralia in Adelaide and prices include postage.
Mountain Mist Productions guarantees the quality of the goods at the point of postage and will only replace items that are found to be defective due to a manufacturing oversight or which are damaged in transit due to poor packaging. Every effort will be made to ensure the goods are packaged in a secure and safe manner. Additional insurance can be arranged if required. Every attempt will be made to adequately describe the goods and to provide photographs and goods may not be returned simply because the purchaser does not like the item after having been fully apprised of all aspects of the item. All returns must be made immediately after receipt of the goods and the buyer agrees to return the item at his or her own expense. Mountain Mist Production agrees to replace and post the item upon receipt of the original item. Dollquake aims to provide satisfaction so if you have any queries please make immediate contact.
There can be no returns on electronic items.
Print books are guaranteed by Digitalprintaustralia.com and returned books will be replaced if it is found that damage is due to a manufacturing fault.
Unless otherwise noted, all dolls and other items made and sold by Dollquake shall be deemed decorator or display items only and are not offered for sale as toys. Mountain Mist Productions will take no legal responsibility in the event of misuse or abuse of any item or for any injury caused to any individual by any means.
