Hi, I'm L P King, and I hope you have been enjoying your visit to Dollquake.com. This site is where I escape from my "real" job as Writer and Publisher. As the Principal of Mountain Mist Productions I get to work with some of the nicest people in the writing industry and I am very proud of my own little family of Authors. Mountain Mist Productions has been going since early 2000 now and we started out as E-Publishers and now we are moving over to offering our books in Print. It has been a lot of work and extremely long hours but it is finally coming to fruition. I can now afford myself the luxury of going back to my hobby of making character dolls. I don't expect I'll be able to design and make as many as I used to but even only one a month will satisfy my need to work with my hands.

I encourage all my Authors to pursue other interests and to develop themselves as well-rounded individuals who can thus relate better to their Readers. Some do gardening, some cook, sew, go bushwalking, participate in sport, paint, some raise Brahman bulls and make furniture... they really are a talented bunch. Of course, they may not all advertise these things but it still helps them to get away from the constraints of the writing life, which contrary to popular opinion, can be very lonely and at times stressful. I personally find it very relaxing to embroider or to fashion a little being out of nothing.

I am also aware that there is a tremendous interest in dolls and collecting and that is fine by me! It is a buzz for me to combine my love of writing and my love of creating... you never know! In the meantime everything has a purpose and I really think I am going to enjoy Dollquake. I hope you do too.
